Dr. Pacheco-Cardenas is a beacon of inspiration, hailing from a small town in Peru and guided by a profound dedication to science and medicine. Her journey commenced at UNMSM, Lima, Peru, where she immersed herself in the study of medicine from 2009 to 2016. During this time, Dr. Pacheco-Cardenas embraced the gift of service, completing rural rotations in Peru's highlands, fostering a deep-rooted empathy for underserved communities. From the outset of their postgraduate years, Dr. Pacheco-Cardenas recognized the transformative power of imaging in healthcare. This realization ignited her passion for Diagnostic Radiology, a field seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology, medical expertise, and a heartfelt commitment to pediatric well-being. Driven by a fervent advocacy for marginalized populations, Dr. Pacheco-Cardenas sought to expand her horizons and amplify their impact. In 2021, she embarked on a journey to California, USA, eager to pursue a career in cardiothoracic radiology and continue to develop her passion for advancing pediatric care through innovative imaging techniques. During 2018 to 2021, Dr. Pacheco-Cardenas distinguished themselves by completing their Diagnostic Radiology residency at the prestigious Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins, the most important and largest hospital in Peru. They achieved the remarkable feat of securing the first place in the Diagnostic Radiology Residency application process, outshining thousands of applicants, a testament to their exceptional dedication and expertise in the field.
